We partner with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) to offer this service for DCA’s “Georgia Dream” Homeownership Program. Sessions generally last 1 – 1.5 hours, and follow-up sessions may be scheduled as needed. This service is free of charge as the program is currently funded by grants.
Foreclosure Prevention Counseling
- Focuses on providing viable options to homeowners in resolving/preventing mortgage default.
- Assists homeowners in completing paperwork and documentation to provide to lenders for workout plans.
Our certified housing counselors act as a liaison between our clients and their mortgage lenders. Sessions generally last 1 – 1.5 hours, and follow-up sessions may be scheduled as needed. This service is free of charge as the program is currently funded by grants.
Reverse Mortgage Counseling
- Is conducted by a certified Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) counselor.
- Provides a comprehensive comparison of different financial options.
- Discusses costs, processes, and terminologies associated with reverse mortgages.
